I am looking to move away from Costa Rica and am looking for a moving company to help me get a few items back up to Colorado. I dont think the economy is going to turn around any time soon, and i think the real estate market is only going to get worse. Anyone have any sugestions for an international shipper to transprt a couple of crates to the US?

Richard, this is the first time that I've seen the phenomenon of replacement cost being higher than purchase price here on a house in Costa Rica. We just had a price reduction on a house that is the first I've seen of its kind in the zone: http://tinyurl.com/ybuqzsk

Hey CJ, thanks for the comment. Rod & I are getting together today to shoot our first video talk show, you know, the kind where we sit there with the camera on us and talk like a couple of anchormen. Should be a hoot, at the very least.

I've been wanting to find the time to come down and look at some properties, but just can't get my timelines in order. I find your articles very informative, and continue to look forward to new comments. Being from Canada, I feel a world away, yet so close because of the information that you put out. You mentioned a flurry in land buying. In Bergen County New Jersey, prices have really come down about 20-25% or so. I most price ranges.
I do mostly new homes, land have become very competitive again. If a lot comes on priced right or a knock down house, it will get a lot of activity. Even though the cost to replace is higher than existing sales. Richard
